The activation of the Institutional Account is done through the service uregister.unipi.gr.

Before starting the procedure, the user must have registered with the Secretariat of his/her department (for students, university fellows, post-doctoral fellows, external collaborators) or the Administration Department (for full-time lecturers, PD407 and administrative staff) his/her mobile phone number or email address, his/her social security number, VAT number and date of birth. In case the supplied data needs correction, the process of activation of the Institutional Account should start after at least 1 hour, so that the intermediate synchronisation of the systems has been carried out.

When the account is activated, the user’s details declared to the Secretariat or the Personnel Directorate are compared with the National Registry of the Social Security Number. In the event of a discrepancy, the incorrect data must be corrected in the relevant service (Secretariat or Personnel Directorate) or the National Social Security Register, if the data held there are incorrect. In addition, the user is asked to agree to have the system store his/her email and/or mobile phone number in the mypassword.unipi.gr service so that he/she can change his/her password in case he/she forgets it. If the user does not select at least one of the two options, he/she will not be able to retrieve his/her password and will be required to subscribe to the University’s services for this purpose.

All services that use Single Sign On (authentication through an institutional account) for the user’s login utilize the username and password that the user will create when registering at uregister.unipi.gr. Please note that after repeated failed login attempts within a short period, the system will remain locked for 10 minutes.
