The MSc. in Bioeconomy and Sustainable Development is an interdisciplinary program of the Department of Economics, School of Economic, Business Tourism and International Studies of the University of Piraeus and the Department of Biology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

The aim of the program is to provide cutting-edge specialized knowledge in the emerging field of bioeconomy and sustainable development. To this end, it provides theoretical and applied economic analysis in bioeconomy innovation sectors as well as of sustainable development, according to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of United Nations. We aspire to provide our graduates, both students but also business executives, with the necessary tools in order to be able to evaluate modern economic needs through an interdisciplinary approach.
