The Deparments of Economics at the University of Ioannina & the University of Piraeus will host the 5th Summer School in Advanced Economics, which will take place July 3-7 2023, at the island of Spetses. This year's topic will be "Causal Inference, Potential Outcomes, and Difference-in-Differences estimation", while the Program is honour to welcome Professor Jeffrey M. Wooldridge as Dinstinuished Guest Professor.

Dear Students,

We welcome you at the Department of Economics and wish you many happy beginnins as you enter the first year of your studies at our University.

To that end, on Monday, October 10, 8:30 am, at the Amphitheater 201 of the Main Buidling, the Department's Chairman, Professor Yannis Pollalis, alongside members of the faculty and staff from several University Services, will host a "first look" into the Department, to give first-year students information on courses, services offered etc.

The University of Piraeus, through the Strategic Leadership & Digital Transformation-iLEADS Lab, is hosting the «Digital Transformation & Economic Growth in Greece: A Strong Bond» Conference on Friday, April 15 2022, at the «Melina Merkouri» Grand Ampitheater of the Peace & Friendship Stadium (SEF). The conference aims to present tools, technologies and means for the development of digital strategies in select branches of both the public and the private sector of the Greek Economy (fintech, shipping, tourism, energy etc.). 

The M.Sc. «Economic & Business Strategy» welcomed its new students on Friday, November 12 2021, at the "Book Tower" Auditorium of the National Library of Greece Building in the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

The Department of  Economics at the University of Piraeus will host the annual MAER-NET Colloquium (Metaanalysis in Economics Research Network – https://maer-net.org) for 2021.

The Conference will take place Friday and Saturday 22-23/10/2021, at the main campus.
