Information
Panagiotis D. Zervopoulos is an Associate Professor at the Department of Business Administration, University of Piraeus, Greece. Previously, he served as an Associate Professor and Director of the Doctorate in Business Administration Program at the College of Business Administration, University of Sharjah, UAE.
Specializing in operations research, efficiency and performance measurement, optimization, and econometrics, his research interests include the development of novel data envelopment analysis (DEA) techniques, Bayesian methods, parametric and non-parametric econometric models, as well as innovative methodological applications across various industries.
He has also held academic and research positions at Peking University (China), the London School of Economics (UK), the Academy of Athens (Greece), and the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE, Greece). Additionally, he has been a member of the World Economic Survey Expert Group and the Economic Experts Survey Group of the Ifo Institute (Germany).
Panagiotis has served as a Senior Consultant Modeling Statistician at IRi Worldwide and as a Project Manager and Expert in Quantitative Analysis and Public Sector Reform at the European Public Law Organization.
He has published papers in leading journals, including the European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of Cleaner Production, IMA Journal of Management Mathematics, among others. Moreover, he has served as Guest Editor for Socio-Economic Planning Sciences and the IMA Journal of Management Mathematics.
