EURO Working Group on Environmental Planning

 

Objectives

The main purpose of the EURO Working Group on Environmental Planning is to encourage communication and research between members of EURO members societies specializing in Environmental Planning.

Organisation

The group will act in accordance with the charter on EURO Working Groups approved by the council on the 28/06/1992 and its amendments there after. The administration, coordination and implementation of the working group will be carried out by the group of the Group members situated in the University of Piraeus.

  • 14th EURO SUMMER INSTITUTE on Environmental Planning.
  • Sessions on Environmental Planning in several EURO and IFORS conferences.
  • Symposium on Environmental Planning and Tourism.
  • Activities of the Working Group on Environment of the Hellenic OR Society (e.g. Symposium on Anti-fire Protection of forests).

Future planned activities

  • Exchange of information (working papers, related books, newsletter, etc.).
  • Invitation to other organisations and professional associations concerned with Environmental Planning to participate or establish connections to the EURO Working Group on Environmental Planning.
  • Exchange of researchers between European countries.
  • Organising meetings.
  • Creation of Project Proposals in the field of Environmental Planning.

Announcement

Dear colleagues,
the joint INFORMS/EURO meeting will take place in Istanbul in July 2003 (July 6-10). (The conference web site is: http://www.istanbul2003.org/).
Our Group is organizing a cluster on Reverse Logistics and Environmental Management for the Istanbul meeting. If you would be interested in presenting your work in one of the invited sessions of this cluster, please send me a title and a short abstract of your work before the end of February 2003.
