4.      2009: The conference paper “On Assisting a Visual-Facial Affect Recognition System with Keyboard-Stroke Pattern Information” was awarded with Best Applications Papers Award of the 29th Annual International Conference of the British Computer Society Specialist Group on Artificial Intelligence, Cambridge, UK, December 15-17, 2009.

5.      2008: “Gold Member” in  Knowledge-Based & Intelligent Engineering Systems KES International as recognition of scientific offer.

6.      2006: The first research award from the Research Center of the University of Piraeus as the member of faculty (among 200 colleagues of hers) having the highest number of publications in high quality research journals.

7.      2004: The first research award from the Research Center of the University of Piraeus as the member of faculty (among 200 colleagues of hers) having the highest number of publications in high quality research journals.

8.      1988: Awarded the national scholarship from the Greek Foundation of State Scholarships for Ph.D. studies in a foreign country, after having obtained the highest marks of all the candidates in a panhellenic examination for the award.
