The library collection includes more than 45.000 book titles and 350 journal titles. Books and journals cover mainly the parts of interest of the University’s Departments. In the collection there are private and public organisations publications with references, statistics, multimedia CDROM and videotapes. This material is continuously enriched.
Functioning. The library working hours has been expanded to cover the University’s working hours. The books, Reading and Lending departments are operating daily from 8 o’ clock in the morning until 8 o’ clock in the evening in orders to help the library visitors. The experienced library technical and administrative personnel is always available for the visitors every day during the working hours.
Services. The library’s basic services are:
- Lending and interlending services
- Guidance and bibliopraphic information for the visitors
- Material ordering administration
- Catalogue processing and material sorting according to the international standards
- Electronic information to the visitors
- “Grey” bibliopraphy management
Beyond the above services, the library is giving access to EU material, through the European Centre of Documentation and co-operates with other Greek libraries through the “Hermes” network.
