Financial factors contributing to the selection of a flag (taxation, registration dues and fees, mortgage registration costs), bareboat registration. The Greek flag and the institutional frame work of the companies coming under Act 89/67. 3/ The decision to charter (negotiations procedure, terminology, reference to time charter) 4/ Shipping marketing (relation between ship and charterer, Marketing in a shipping business, vessel productivity and logistics, awareness of the charterer’s needs, diversification of services in the Shipping sector/case study, advertising and diversification).
