The Department of Industrial Management aims at the education and training of the students in new technologies and production systems which contribute to manage rapidly changing marketplace in the science of Production Management, with emphasis on the applications of new technologies in production systems.
The objective of the Department is to provide the students with the knowledge of the scientific methodology which is required for the analysis design materialisation and the organisation of appropriate systems, with the purpose of efficiently copying with the complicated problems which arise from the interdependences of the human factor, raw materials, means of production and modern technology in the production process.
The course of studies includes foundation subjects referring to Physics, Mathematics and Socioeconomic Sciences, as well as subjects orientated to the main cognitive of the speciality, securing the fundamental practice and the means for the study of phenomena, systems and technology faced in modern production. In addition, it introduces the additional and important dimention of the human factor, its activities, behaviour and creativity.
